For Immediate Release
San Francisco, CA, April 12, 2005 –
Adaptive Path is proud to announce that our work with the United Nations and Creative Commons has received two Webby Award nominations—in the Best Charitable Organization Site and Best Home Page categories.
Our Best Charitable Organization site nomination comes after two years of intense work, in partnership with Mule Design, to redesign and structurally overhaul the United Nations’s ReliefWeb site. When a disaster occurs anywhere in the world, ReliefWeb is the primary information resource for the humanitarian aid community. The changes we made to ReliefWebs site drastically reduced the amount of time necessary for users to locate time- and mission-critical information. For more information on our work with the United Nations, visit our extensive case study.
Adaptive Path’s Best Home Page Webby nomination is for our work in attracting a broader audience to the Creative Commons website. Adaptive Path and StopDesign helped launch a complete redesign in November. The new site has greatly furthered the Creative Commons mission to ease copyright restrictions on audio, images, video, original writing, and educational materials. For more information, see our press release.
The Ninth Annual Webby Awards received a record number of entries from over 40 countries and all 50 states. Adaptive Path is incredibly proud of our nominations and our work on these groundbreaking websites.
